SPONSOR A STUDENT ATHLETE
You can make a difference in the life of a child through our Sponsor A Student Athlete Program. The children we serve at Portland After-School Tennis & Education, Inc. are investing in their own future developing their academic and life skills in addition to their tennis game. Sponsoring a Student Athlete helps ensure their ongoing success as they progress in the program from Elementary to High School Graduation. You will be personally matched with a child who will have the opportunity to get to know you, write you and treasure the thought that you care! The cost is just $30 a month (or a one time annual gift of $300). We ask sponsors to commit to sponsoring a student athlete for a minimum of one school year. As a sponsor, you will receive quarterly updates on your sponsored student athlete. This will include a short note from your student athlete as well as updates on their tennis and academic progress. Most sponsors and student athletes enjoy time together during our annual end of the Academic Year Sponsor-A-Student-Athlete BBQ. Sponsors are also welcome to arrange a visit during our After School program at St. Johns Racquet Center.
MORE WAYS TO HELP
Many sponsors make a contribution and look forward to the quarterly updates from their sponsored student athlete. Other sponsors choose to become more involved. If you choose, you can write letters to your sponsored child or send a small gift for the Holidays or their birthday. You can even meet or play tennis with your child at the Academic year end Sponsor-A-Student-Athlete BBQ. You can also arrange to visit the After School Program at St Johns Racquet Center to spend time with your child personally.
